5/18 Meiners Dentistry Opening Covid-19 Protocols

We are so excited to be opening our office back up for routine services starting on Monday May 18th.   Like every other business in operation, we have had to institute a set of new guidelines to the way we do business.   Here is a list of a few of the changes you will experience:

  1.  If you have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 or have been diagnosed with Covid-19, please delay your appointment for a minimum of 14 days.
  2. If you have experienced any of the following symptoms, please also continue to delay your appointment for 14 days.  (Fever greater than 100, new cough, shortness of breath, sore throat or body aches).
  3. If you are someone with health issues that affect your day to day living or that compromise your immune system such as (Lupus, HIV, active or recent chemotherapy treatment, oxygen treatment, actively taking a steroid prescription such as prednisone) then please delay your appointment to emergency only service at this time.
  4. When Dana or Lori call\text you to confirm your appointment, they will likely ask if any of the above criteria apply to you.
  5.  If you arrive early to your appointment you are welcome to use our reception room.   We removed all but 4 chairs so there is adequate social distancing.
  6. If you would prefer to wait in your car, please call us when you arrive (816-252-3545) and let us know you are here.
  7. If at all possible, please limit the number of people you bring with you to your appointment to as few as possible to help us abide by social distancing rules.
  8. You will be given a Covid-19 screening form when you arrive.
  9. Also when you arrive a team member will take your temperature and offer you hand sanitizer.
  10. When you are taken back to a treatment room you will be given a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to rinse with.
  11. If you are used to using our headphones to listen to music while receiving dental treatment, please bring your own at this time.  We have complementary Wi-Fi for music/podcast streaming.
  12. We already take sterilization and disinfection very seriously, but have increased our efforts on higher traffic surfaces such as bathrooms and door knobs and countertops at this time.
  13. We have temporarily increased the standard of the mask quality and protection we wear.  So don’t be alarmed if some of our team members are using face shields or are wearing extra thick masks at this time.
